Do people still compile them for girlfriends/boyfriends/loved ones (or their modern equivalent, mix memory stick perhaps?) Sat here with the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack playing in the background, the sight of a C90 slowly rotating is quite hypnotic (and wistful) 'Hooked on a feeling.....................'

Yes, regularly.

In fact, we have a game which is ongoing. As a group of friends, we take it in turn to make a 'mystery mix' (a CD filled with music which meets a particular mystery theme - usually trying to use music which is new to us or would be new to our friends.

It's a good way to share new music with each other and have a bit of fun too.
