Hi guys,
Wanna get a 'new' hi-fi seen a coupe of old skool ones which I'm considering. Does anyone have any experience with technics? I know they no longer produce hi-fi and were part of the Panasonic group. Are they of decent quality?
Thanks
They are just about to launch new Technics Hi-Fi, www.technics.com. There will also be Technics Tracks for high-resolution downloads.Wanna get a 'new' hi-fi seen a coupe of old skool ones which I'm considering. Does anyone have any experience with technics? In the '90s when Hi fi was a big thing, Technics were quality stuff. Coincidentally a friend of mine just donated his stack of Technics separates and speakers to me, I think they are about 10 years old and they were just taking up space in his closet, too loud for his house.
They sound great, it's nice to have some proper old skool hifi equipment in the house again, with some proper sized, window shaking and floor thumping speakers attached. It has a cassette deck too, but I think I'd thrown all my cassettes out as I never expected to see one of those again!
EDIT: I need to find a way to connect an iPhone to it too, then it can play Spotify and digital radio and stuff through it. And connect the telly up for the surround sound

I had a full set up back in the day, mainly due to it matching my 1210s.
I had the tops dog amp which came in two parts-mainly because big f
k off needles looked cool

To be honest, I only used it to pump out house & hip hop music at ridiculously loud volumes while practising but it was all pretty well regarded stuff back in the day. It's in the attic now
unfortunately in just no longer have any use for it but I can't ever make myself get rid of it.
