Nods to other songs - any others?

I just heard David Bowie's Young Americans and the line "I heard the news today oh boy" giving a 'nod' to The Beatles' A Day in the Life.

This lead to Mark Ronson's Stop Me which which ends with a few lines from The Supremes' You Keep me Hanging on.

Disregarding medleys, covers and samples, are there any others?

Your not confusing this with David Bowie's song Cat People that has the lyric "see these eyes so green, I could stare for a thousand years" in it are you? Or is there another nod to a song here as well?

George Michael's song 'Waiting for that Day' from Listen without Prejudice finishes with the repeated line 'You can't always get what you want'.
I heard that he split the royalties from the song 3 ways between himself, Keef and Mick, don't know if that's true though.

At the end of the 'Powers Of Ten Suite' by Shawn Lane, there is a little motif as the song fades out that is reminiscent of the whole album. I don't think those notes or the melody appears anywhere else but the intervals certainly do which is what, I believe, gives the 'Powers Of Ten' album it's sound.

Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" contains the lines "Well I hope Neil Young will remember, a Southern Man don't need him around anyhow" as a good-natured dig at Young dissing the entire American South in "Southern Man".

Wikipedia's just told me there are other echoes of Mr Young in the song too. Gotta love the internet

Are you thinking of 'European Female?'? The lyric for that goes "We'll be together for a thousand years" which is a bit similar, but was described as a reference to the Nazis and Das Tausandjahrige Reich. Or something like that.
