So what song would you like played at your funeral?
Discussion
I went to a funeral yesterday, it was that of one of my very funny uncles who sadly died a few weeks ago following a long illness. Whenever I met him he always left me feeling happier. He was a bit of a 'cheeky chappie' who was always smiling. When he walked into a room everyone would smile and it would be as though the lights got brighter as he entered. He knew his days were numbered so he had a few requests for his own funeral (at a crematorium). So, as the curtain closed on his coffin a song was played. It was "Always look on the bright side of life". After a few seconds people started smiling and even whistling at the appropriate place. I smiled and said to myself and said "well, uncle John, you sure had the last laugh!"
This got me thinking about what song I'd like played at my own funeral. It's more difficult than it sounds and I still don't know what I'd choose!

Always look on the bright side of life was one of the most popular songs played at funerals last year.
A few years ago a young friend of mine died (crikey it was 10 years ago) and he was only 25. he had bthe python song at his followed by "I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts" which had most of us puzzled until his dad explained it was his football team's anthem (Cambridge United).
I'd like "Perfect day".
