I enjoyed it -

He clearly has big issues towards his parents for sending him away to boarding school - but he came across a LOT less stuffy and muso than I was expecting.

Seeing the life he now has, I'm not surprised he wants nothing to do with a megabucks PF tour!

He was one of the guys who inspired me to pick up a guitar nn years ago, for which I'm very thankful. But I agree with you. No recent DG output stands on its own merit, so much of it a pale imitation of hungrier/angrier work. Some of it is Floyd-Lite 'nice', which is why the Radio 2 lovathon with his recent album was ear-stabbingly annoying.

Have to agree with you. I'm not inspired to get 'Rattle That Lock', unless I see it for a fiver in Fopp and then I might bite. I bought 'On An Island' and it's pleasant enough but it lacks substance. He really needs to team up with Roger again and strike some sparks.

Agreed.

As so often with bands, the PF magic was in the blend, and the creative interaction of David & Roger. Neither is half as good apart as they were together.
