Now i'll be honest with you,the X Factor and the Voice are generally 99 percent bks.Rarely theres a really emotional spark of magic and real talent, usually in the auditions then the rest of the series is crap lol.
Stumbled across this somewehere from The Voice in Poland of all places, just an amateur really pelting out and connecting with a song, brilliant!
I checked for others after this like Celine Dion,Barbara Streisand singing this, she blows them away!

Jeebus. Too much embellishment on the melody for me! With all of the extra notes she completely managed to miss the space in the original song. (I've loved the original since Baghdad Cafe, and there are way better versions on YT, too).

But as it's Christmas, and in keeping with your thread, I give you Norway's Angelina Jordan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D0e0miMSI0

Not heard this song but having seen the X Factor final (which appeared to be between two blokes doing karaoke rap while 30 backing singers sang and a girl who could sing) it appears that what passes for talent is actually cramming in as many notes into a song as possible, demonstrating you can massively over-perform rather than just sing.

Oh, and shouting, lots of shouting.

I wonder how a famous singer with a recognised good voice would do in one of these shows? Will Young or Leona Lewis for example, how would they perform in one of these type of shows eh?
