Five Credits On the Jukebox.
Discussion
If you have a pound for the jukebox, what five songs would you entertain us with. Not necessarily your 5 favourite songs, but ones that would get the place going. A bit of variety is good too.
AC/DC - Thunderstruck
War Pigs - Black Sabbath
Sabotage - Beastie Boys
Stone Roses - Fools Gold
Anthrax and Chuck D - Bring the Noise

5 Christmas songs. Start with the Wizzard, `I wish it could be Christmas every day` one then onto pish like Cliff Richard.
Yep. That would get the craic going, especially any month except December.

About 10 years ago when I was just old enough to get into the pub I used to pick the following
1. Ozzy - Gets Me Through
The intro was quiet enough for the bar to turn it up, just in time for the riff to come in!
2. Gary Moore - Parisienne Walkways (live)
The long sustained bend used to confuse the really drunk.
3. Fleetwood Mac - The Chain
Do I need to explain?
4. The Eagles - Hotel California
As above
5. Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb

We always used to go for value for money when we had money spare for the jukebox.
Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven
Eagles - Hotel California
Meatloaf - Bat Out Of Hell
Black Sabbath - War Pigs
Rod Stewart - Maggie May (mainly because there was a bloke who looked the spit of Rod in the pub all the time and it put a smile on everyone's face when he started singing along!!)

I'm not sure you'd "get the place going" with many of the suggestions. Unless the place you want to get going is full of 40 and 50 year old men. (Assuming "get the place going" doesn't mean get everyone leaving.)
I'd probably throw in some Rita Ora, Avicii, Jess Glynne and Zedd.
To remind you, you didn't ask, "What music do you like, Hoofy?"

A lot of people going to very s
t pubs by the sound of it. To get 'people going' you need to think wedding DJ, the 'classics' that granny knows but youngsters like too. Dancing Queen, Come on Eileen, 9 to 5, Sweet Caroline, all that b
ks.
But as a compromise I'd have something like
Madness - House of Fun
House of Pain - Jump Around
Martin Solveig - Hello
Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger
Blur - Parklife
I bet my pub is going better than the rest of yours.
