Links off the BBC website, tickets do not usually get released until April time (was last year anyway).

Last night of the proms tickets available via usual rip off ticket agencies though.

From what I can see, the 2016 events / performers haven't been released yet and - personally - I'd not go to any old Prom unless it was a particular piece of music I'd want to listen to.
The event does, however, attract some of the best orchestras, conductors, and solo artists in the world so the 2015 indicative prices here don't look extortionate for some of the cheaper stalls.
There's also a link to prices for Proms at the Cadogan Hall which are even more reasonable, but you'll only get chamber music there rather than full-on symphonies with an 80 piece orchestra.
ETA: Don't be too put off by the smaller venues, as they still attract world class performers. The Wigmore Hall, for example, is hosting an afternoon recital next Monday by Nicola Benedetti

The Wigmore Hall is a lovely venue with a fine acoustic,]
but Nicola Benedetti who works hard and is fantastic in her role helping and encouraging young violinists,
is really a triumph of marketing over world class musicianship. I'd better add IMO

I go 2 or 3 times each season, not a classical expert so I pick things that I like the sound of, usually 2 pieces are good and the 3rd crap but interesting

I seem to remember that in order to qualify for Last Night tickets, you have to have attended a certain minimum number of Proms that season.
I believe that is the case. We'll get a pair of season tickets and go to a bunch of them - as a no cost option.sly fox said:

I've wondered about this. Are some last night tickets available at extortionate cost because for that night the some of the private owners of some of the boxes have not allowed the RAH to sell their tickets in the normal way and have opted to sell the seats themselves (at huge markup)?http://www.royalalberthall.com/tickets/events/2016...
