Very sad to read this.... completely co-incidentally was listening to a Trojan compilation of original 50s Ska on the way into work this morning and got there smiling and happy. Great stuff, great cross-genre influence and inspiration, great sounds

I loved early Madness, but they went a bit 'novelty' after the first album in my view.

And I didn't realise that "Enjoy Yourself" was by him originally!
