Music streaming

So I'm thinking of subscribing to one of the music streaming site, but which one?

My requirements are:

- some kind of family sharing (4 people)
- offline music
- mainly Apple devices
- will mainly be mainstream popular music (non of us have much weirdness lol)

So I know there's Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon music. Which one is deemed by you experts to be the best to suit me?

Spotify has the best interface. Music wise its much the same as apple music. I don't think there is as much choice on Amazon (might be wrong though)

Most of them have free trials/ad supported, so try each one out.
It'll come down to how soon new stuff appears on it for your requirement, so I'd guess Spotify will be your best bet.

Tried Apple Music and didn't get on with it (and it deletes your stored content and puts the streamed version in it's place.) Whilst not an issue if you keep the subscription up but if you leave you have to re-sync all your stuff back to the phone/iPod. Again no biggy unless like me, your laptop dies and you have no way of doing this!

I didn't really like Deezer or Napster but haven't tried Tidal. Given who is behind it then I made the call that it wasn't for me

Spotify all the way. I have the £9.99 subscription which gets you cd quality, no ads, etc. It notifies you of new releases of albums of artists you're following, the user interface is way better than Apple and it does what you need (i.e. family subscription, offline mode, etc.) I like the interaction with Shazam you get too. You can go to a bar and put Shazam on continuous listen and by the time you leave, you have a full playlist in Spotify automatically without having to do anything other than click a button.

We use Spotify and tidal.... Spotify is better.

If you use Siri whilst driving etc, then it has to be Apple Music really, as it's the only one that you can control using it.

We all use Google Play in our family (5 users) on 3 iPhones, and two Adnroid phones, for £15 a month and does everything you are asking.

You can also upload your existing library for free including any playlists etc you have accumulated over the years.

This info might be a bit old but according to this they also give better royalties to artists if you care about that sort of thing.

Quality is another factor.....whilst the kids will be more than happy with MP3, I wouldn't mind the highest quality I can get (is that FLAC?)

there are 3 qualities available on Spotify Premium, I don't use the best so can't comment, I don't think my devices have enough storage to store all my offline playlists at top quality..

Spotify Family is what we use I love it, and can't imagine not being able to use it.

I'm also interested in this.

From what I can find out online, Amazon Unlimited Music seems to gazump Spotify for price by quite a margin (pay in advance and it works out at over £40 cheaper a year) and also by content (40m tracks compared to 30m).

Anyone with recent experience of Amazon Unlimted?
