RIP Craig Gill - Inspiral Carpets drummer

Just reading of the sad and untimely death of Craig Gill (the drummer with the Inspiral Carpets) at 44 years of age. Their music conjures up fond memories of a fun period of my life. Such a shock and no age to go - only half way through really.

Funny that, I've always been a fan of the 'Carpets, seen them live a couple of times, but the media attention was always on Tom Hingley or Clint Boon. Rather ashamed to admit that I couldn't have told you who Craig Gill was before reading this story, unfortunately.

I guess like a lot of drummers he was happy to remain (physically and metaphorically) in the background.

Any idea on cause of death? Please let it not be suicide - I've lost a mate of the same age to it this year, and, it being the number one killer for blokes in my age bracket, find it a tad to close to home/difficult to discuss being a bit of an elephant in the room.
