Pink Floyd - A Momentary Lapse of Reason

Really quiet in work today so listening to this for the first time in years and forgot how good it is.

I know most people prefer their early stuff but this is as good as anything else they've done IMO.

Any love for the later Floyd stuff on here?

Great album. Fortunate enough to see them on the accompanying tour at the long gone London arena.

A good album that sonically heralded a new period for the Floyd. I keep returning to Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking and Radio KAOS to really appreciate the divergence of the band and Roger Waters.

All three are very much of their time though, but most enjoyable nonetheless.

I remember buying this on vinyl when it first came out. It was the first Floyd album I bought. I guess it's more of a David Gilmour album than a Floyd album. I like it, though it's a bit 'gimmicky'. Sounds great, if you like big late 80's production (which I do). As a drummer, I really like the drum parts - not sure how much Nick Mason there is on this (not much - probably more Carmine Appice and Jim Keltner according to Wiki) - but they're great. I think my favourite track is actually the instrumental Terminal Frost.

I think I actually like this album more than The Division Bell....
