I started this thread because they never seem to get mentioned or played by anyone anymore. I'm still obsessed 30 years since I first played Gorehound. No other band even gets close. Luckily I saw them before Lux died. That is all.

I saw both The cramps and the meteors live. Both were excellent but the cramps always seemed a bit more unhinged. hehe

Just spent a while going through some classic cramps on YouTube. Bad music for bad people was a great album.

Even in their hay day, they didn't get much attention really, the psycho billy subculture was kind of scoffed at and looked down upon generally. I absolutely loved it as a teenager but it's not music I've played much since.

This thread has reminded me of the stray cats. I saw them live also, They were a bit more mainstream than the cramps though obviously.

That rockabilly genre is still big in Japan now I think. They love all the huge quifs.

"Lets Get F**ked Up" is my signature tune for a Friday night smile

I love the cover of the album as well.

Don't know how to upload videos but try 'The fissure of Rolando' on Youtube live at Lokkerstein festival. Lux does't look well but what a performance. Make sure its loud.
