Has the group Texas got a contract with the BBC?
For the umpteenth time they appear on Evans radio 2 show, next I hear Ken Bruce telling his listeners with great enthusiasm that they have pulled off a big coo by securing Texas to play at Proms In The Park, next I'm listening to my local BBC Radio Cambridgeshire telling me the great announcement of Texas appearing at Newmarket Racecourse.

TBH hadn't notes this but there again I sort of stopped listening to R2 when Bob Harris ended his Sunday morning stint.

Texas: I saw them about 15 year ago at Newcastle Arena, wasn't impressed and went right off then after that.

When I do catch R2 (usually on quietly in the office) I seem to hear Amy Macdonald - Automatic about every 5 minutes. Now I saw Amy a month or so ago as I like her simplistic approach to light rock and roll music and thought her version of Springsteens Dancing in the Dark excellent but I too sometimes think there's someone paying someone.....

Texas have sold ~40 million albums worldwide. About the same as Take That. Lord knows who purchased such sh*te. And the lead singer is a longtime friend of Chris Evans, so that obviously pulls some strings.
