Pink floyd exhibition London now on 2017

I went to this the opening day yesterday sat 13th May 2017. What a fantastic exhibition. I don't want to share all my photos as I don't want you to see too much. JUST GO AND SEE IT. Huge display room after room of equipment and memorabilia. ..love it.

If you like Pink Floyd you will love it...don't miss out, it's on for 6 months.

I was recently invited to an investment conference by one of the banks, with the after conference entertainment being a private visit to this exhibition. I was almost tempted to endure the 5 hours of presentations, simply to allow me attend the exhibition, but in the end decided against it.

Glad to know it's worth seeing - I'll pay a visit with some friends!

Thanks for sharing this. We visited the Bowie exhibition at the V&A a couple of years ago and it was excellent. If this is half as good, and by what I've read it is, it'll be well worth it.

Although not a proper hardcore fan, I do like Pink Floyd quite a bit thanks to my dad so quite fancy popping up to have a look at this.

Nick Mason was on Brian Johnson's new program the other night, 'Life On The Road.' Well worth a watch for any Floyd/car fan.

For those who have already been, how long did it take you to get around the whole exhibition?

To answer my own question, it took us about 2 hours to get around the exhibition.

I'd advise anyone thinking of going to do it on a weekday if possible. On Saturday, it was very busy and the way the rooms are laid out (particularly the first couple) there isn't an obvious 'flow', so groups of people standing in front of the exhibits caused a bit of a log jam.

Some very interesting stuff in there, particularly if you like looking at the intricacies of instruments, pedal boards, David's 'Black Strat' etc.

Once this finishes, they should take all the exhibits, photograph them in fine detail and put it all in a book. Maybe they're going to?

I'm going on Saturday morning at 10.30. I though the idea of having to select a time was to limit the numbers inside at any one time. I hope it's not crowded.

That is the idea and it was much better once we got past the first room, but you can stay looking at each exhibit as long as you want, so if people from the previous timeslot are still there, the numbers are going to increase.

In any case, it wasn't as crowded as the Piccadilly Line.

Went to see this on Sunday and thoroughly loved it. Just thought I would remind people that it is only on until 1st October. It was busy in the first one or two rooms but after that it thinned out. We also went for the Pink Floyd inspired Afternoon Tea at the Gore Hotel around the corner beforehand and enjoyed that as well.
