Finding Musicians (Any West-Mids Drummers around?)

Are there any other musicians on here who play in bands who struggle to find other musicians? How did you find the musicians you play with?

I'm in a tech-metal band and hoping to find a drummer who would appreciate something different to the usual pub-covers bands and classic-rock that dominate the local scene, but there are precious few available. I'm not sure where to turn to try and get in touch with someone. I get out to clubs and gigs as often as I can to network but I struggle to make that happen very often sadly.

Any advice, or is anyone here in a similar position?

I'd check the internet/facebook for local musicians/bands sites.

Joinmyband.co.uk is my usual first port of call. You can do wanted as well as available.
Local facebook musicians groups

Those are what I have used in the past a quick google turned up loads of other musicians classified sites.

Get out to some local jam nights (look them up on internet/facebook)

Look on facebook/gumtree for musician pages

Go down to some local rehearsal rooms, look on board for adverts for musicians/put advert up yourself
