Why does Drill music idolise and use the C63 a lot in their videos.

Is this where the view it’s driven by some Barry boys comes from?

Drill music comes from Chicago and has been used in the U.K. (Brixton and the like) from about 2012

Drill apparently means automatic weapon(gun)

The music glorifies crime “going out with me 12” blade going to take out some Rambo”. It’s sung by many who hide their faces many are drinking Scotch in the videos smoking weed and no doubt smack

I just tried listening to a couple of Chief Keef “songs” on Youtube. Apparently he’s the big name in Drill.

Good god.

I like hip hop, I’m quite partial to old school gangsta rap, but that... That was just dreadful. Soulless, witless, tuneless, joyless, utterly devoid of any merit whatsoever.

Compare with the likes of Ice T, Snoop Dogg, NWA... They all rapped about some pretty gritty subjects. But they offered clever lyrics, catchy rhythms, and a bit of humour. Drill seems to be hyper aggressive gangsta rap with all those elements removed.

Anyway, enough getting sidetracked with the musical aspects. The C63: it’s readily available, fast, loud, blingy, and combines “status symbol” and “getaway car” into one vehicle. Plus there’s room in the boot for several guns (or indeed drills - I’d recommend Makita) and for enough drugs to pay for several more C63s. Perfect for Chief Keef and his mates.

If you think that’s bad take a look at some of the confederate songs on YouTube - that’s WFT shocking racism that I didn’t think would be allowed “&£gag&£ hacking killing spree” and such like. Vile vile stuff - but millions have viewed it...
