Contrast that to Jimmy Page, who has been saying for over ten years he is ready to return to some live work of his own in some capacity, rather than guesting for ten minutes on stage with some other artist.....

I know you don't owe us anything Jim, but either put up or shut up.

I too have noted this disparity, but If Robert suggested they go touring, then Jimmy would play every day, particularly if Robert invited John Paul along.

Indeed, but there is no way this will happen, Percy has moved on from Zeppelin, (although he still does three or four token songs in his set)...it's about time Jimmy did the same, although he needs to put a band together and come up with some new stuff......the demand is certainly out there.

I know and have resigned myself to never seeing Zeppelin, but Jimmy never gets it right in his choice of singer. The Firm should have been good, but really wasn't. The best song on Outrider was the one with Robert.

I saw The Firm in Middlesborough in 1984 they were OK, but seemed to fizzle out after a year or two, they were never really going to last.

Page just seems to want to spend his time re hashing old Zep stuff from the early seventies, then wheeling out yet another dusty rare recording he has dug up from "the vaults"..I expect it keeps the wolf from the door......

Seems a shame though, he is such a creative person........

One or two are OK, but it does seem to be a dusting off the old stuff and flog it. I don't hold out any hope of getting a ticket if they ever did. It would stub hubs bonanza of the century.

Er, that’s my point. That album is terrible.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that, then.

I've always thought Coverdale had a great "rock" vocal, and that this album had strong tunes with Jimmy playing better than he had since Led Zep breaking up. Certainly his solo on Don't You Leave Me This Way is perfectly judged, as is - IMO - his riffing on Shake My Tree.
