Music question.

In the late 90s/early 2000s I remember hearing a track used on "Match of the Day"

I never discovered what it was called.

Wifey was binge watching "Cold Feet" on DVD a couple of nights ago... And I heard the same track in the background on one of the scenes set in a pub.

It’s not that easy to hear, but it’s definitely the track from twenty odd years ago!

My initial suspicions are:

Andreas Johnson (of “Glorious” fame)
McAlmont and Butler (or perhaps Bernard Butler alone)
Johnny Marr/Bernard Sumner (from their “Electronic” days)

But I have drawn a blank.

Have tried Shazaming it, to no avail.

Can anyone help me identify the track? Its driving me insane!

It's 27 mins 20 seconds into this video...

Had a listen - Not sure what it is TBH, but don't think its Electronic - I was / am a fair fan of those and don't recognise it.

Sorry - best I could do!

Definitely not Electronic.

Sounds more like The Lightning Seeds to me, but I can't place it exactly. One of their lesser known singles?

The MOTD Goal Of The Month programmer at the time was I recall a massive fan of Britpop so used to put some quality tunes on there.

Possibly... I’ll have a dig through the Seeds back catalogue (I was a big fan)

I've been through everything I have of The Lightning Seeds and it's not them.

I really wanted it to be Rialto from that same generation (loved their first album) but having listened to that and its follow up it is not them.

This is now driving me nuts too OP! I loved Britpop and have a fairly wide knowledge of it but continuing to draw a blank.
