Chris, that's tragic and totally unexpected!

The Gould brothers were what made Level 42, as a jazz fusion outfit rather than the later pop iterattion.

I've just realised that makes three ex L42 guitarists who are no longer with us, order of passing:

Alan Murphy
Allan Holdsworth
Boon Gould

That’s a st piece of news to hear. So many people from my younger years passing these days. Saw them live a few times myself and always remember MK calling out “Boon Gould” at the end of a solo.

First band I saw live many years ago now at Whitley Bay ice rink. Sad news.

Prompted to revisit this after booking my tickets for their 40th anniversary tour in 2020 - Newcastle City Hall next October.

I'm curious to know if the cause of Boon's passing was ever made public, does anyone know?
