Anyone have a dedicated room for instruments or music listening? If so how does it look? I'm currently in the process of sorting one out so I'm looking for some inspiring photos!

I have the attic for my guitar activities, there is now a small standing area in between the hatch and the desk with a PC on it, all other available space has now been filled with guitars on stands, guitars in cases, amplifiers, speaker cabinets and effects floorboards.

I have a plecostomus, that I have periodically rehoused into a bigger tank, and each time I do, he grows into the available area, as they do. My guitar and associated accoutrements seem to possess the same qualities, and expand to fill any available area given over to them, much to the chagrin of the bread knife, and the detriment of my bank account.

This is taken with a very wide angle lens, it's not as big as these make it look and it's very untidy, apologies!

Before I got started on the acoustics other stuff

One of my better decisions was to use Slatwall on two of the walls, it's very versatile, though it does look a bit like a music shop, which visiting musician friends regularly take the mickey out of.

There, I fixed it.

Nothing inspiring here, just a room filled with stuff I can't play.

Do you use the bike when playing "Bat out of hell"?

Small but fully functional. Surprisingly decent acoustics too.

Superb rooms! Love that studio Niall, looks really set up for some production. Equally love Ade's 916 on display, although I think I'd rather have it accessible for use in the garage. I've got to squeeze a piano in there, a few guitars, and want to get some monitors so I can hook up Piano, and my Helix into it.

There's some fantastic set-ups posted!

I love the 916 as an objet d'art. Beautiful design, and a massively successful race bike.

I have a music "corner" in the dining room, which suits me. I need to invest in a decent laptop to use bedroom #3 as a music room, so I can play along to backing tracks off YT.

Mine's far too untidy for pictures but I can describe it:

Picture a 3rd bedroom in a suburban semi. One wall with a wardrobe full of gig clothes (shirts/DJ/tails/dresses/etc.) and a large wall cube shelving unit full of sheet music & accessories. Opposite wall, shelves with various instruments & cases (several violins, a viola, saxophone, a couple of horns), stereo, boxes of instrument accessories etc.

On the floor, music stand, chair, piles of sheet music, several horns in cases, couple of guitars, practice amp. Windowsill - laptop, bluetooth speaker, metronome.

It's not beautiful, but it's functional and gets a lot of use as we are both professional musicians.
