Are these really the most iconic album covers from 1979?
London Calling perhaps, Chic Risque I think a lot of people were buying the 12 inch of Good Times and remember the Atlantic logo more than the cover of Risque, with the Human League I think most people would think of 1981's Dare being a more iconic album cover and one most people recognise,Throbbing Gristle 20 Jazz Funk Greats...iconic? Talking Heads Fear Of Music is another one that falls short of being an iconic album cover especially compared to Remain In Light.
Iconic in 79 I would think more the lady holding the plate on the cover of Breakfast In America or the cover to Blondie's Eat To The Beat, The Bee Gees on the cover of Spirits Having Flown, Zeppelin's In Through The Out Door.....
Once again I think BBC 6 music tries to be 'Too Cool For School'
