Funny you should say that.....
It's a no from me but, advice would be good.
Have recently got hold of an incomplete drum kit and have very little knowledge of them.
Have - big drum and pedal
high hat and pedal
three toms (floor tom has no feet) and one of the others is missing a bracket to mount into big drum.
snare drum and stand
20" 18" and 16" cymbals - no mounting bits.
Can you mount more than one cymbal from one stand or do you need one each?

All you really need - if you're going to play - are the kick drum/pedal and high hat/pedal and snare. Toms are a bonus. Cymbals a luxury. Look for used on ebay, closest first.

Have - big drum and pedal (Bass drum or kick drum if you're American)
high hat and pedal

snare drum and stand. (Look on ebay for some feet for the floor tom.)
20" 18" and 16" cymbals - no mounting bits.
Can you mount more than one cymbal from one stand or do you need one each? (You can get cymbal stackers, or boom arms that clamp to an existing stand, or place cymbals directly on top of each other for a trashy sound.)

I am having fun with just them... but ...the possibilities
Join a band, become the last one to set up, the last one to get home, the one no one in the audience recognises because you are at the back behind the most equipment. But, also the loudest, it's a free workout, and it's f

Another lapsed beat-keeper here. My boy has learned some Alice in Chains on the bass so naturally I've offered to do drums and vocals on a cover recording.
What could go wrong?
Good luck, some of the aic stuff sounds pretty tricky! What could go wrong?
Been playing guitar for years and fancied learning drums, done a few months now with Roland td1mk and it's a very different challenge, good when it comes together. Struggling a bit with consistent timing on more complicated tunes, coach mode on the vdrums seems quite handy for that.

Thinking of this, because I just can't go acoustic due to noise concerns.
Like the previous poster, I'm having timing issues but I'm playing with a click so hopefully that will come in due course. Feet independence is also taxing me

Any fans of Dennis Chambers in here?
His performance at the Buddy Rich tribute was superhuman! Hey, glen ponder! I thought you were a conductor, not a drummer. Good to hear that you're back on talking terms with Alan after all these years! Firing you live on air was pretty low of him.
