On the Never For Ever album Kate Bush does a song called Blow Away recalling some of the music related people who had passed away in the previous few years and when the album Red Shoes came out 13 years later she did the song Moments Of Pleasure in a similar vein but this time recalling what had happened in the intervening years between 1980 - 1993.

A Stranglers b-side (to "Midnight Summer Dream") was called "(The Strange Circumstances Which Lead To) Vladimir And Olga (Requesting Rehabilitation In A Siberian Health Resort As A Result Of Stress In Furthering The People's Policies)", and introduced the two eponymous characters.
Vladimir went on to star in "Vladimir and Sergei" (on the JJ Burnel and Dave Greenfield album "Fire and Water"), "Vladimir and the Beast Part III", "Vladimir goes to Havana" and "Viva Vlad!". A further tale, "Vladimir and the Pearl" wasn't released until a compilation years later, but was played on a special fan phone-line, no doubt at some horrendous rate.
And then a bit later, a song called "Mr Big" was recorded in a studio session by the new line-up of the band shortly after Hugh Cornwell left, but was not included on the album. Later on, a song called "Little Blue Lies" also features Mr Big.

The sequel to Harry Chapin's "Taxi" is literally called "Sequel". Both great songs that tell a story.

Jethro Tull had 'A Song for Jeffrey', 'Jeffrey Goes to Leicester Square', and 'For Michael Collins, Jeffrey and Me' on their first three albums, although the connection between the songs is tentative to say the least. Jeffrey Hammond-Hammond was a musician friend of the band who eventually joined as bassist.

The second of these videos seems to be a sequel to the first - although the two songs were actually two years apart!
Whether the songs themselves were planned like this is anybody's guess.

As mentioned, 22 Acacia Avenue by Iron Maiden is a (much better IMO) sequel to Charlotte the Harlot. There are also Hooks in You and From Here to Eternity which reference the previous two songs.
