Best scene/theme/mood music film or TV?

I was just (re)watching Miami Vice earlier and heard 'In The Air Tonight' as Crockett and Tubbs drive through a nearly deserted Miami and it struck me (again) what a great match that bit of music was for that scene.
Also loved the main themes for Gladiator and Last of the Mohicans

Used for two scenes in flashbacks of a fool, fits the story and scenes perfectly.

Francis Monkmen's fantastic score for 'The Long Good Friday', still sounds good and doesn't show its age almost forty years after it was recorded.
Michel Legrande's score to 'Le Mans' likewise, but my favourite part is the fast paced bit which matches the editing of the visuals, particularly the fast cutting and panning of the cars blasting down the Muslanne straight.
John Barry's theme for 'The Persuaders', I listen to it in the car a lot and never tire of it. Most of the master tapes for this have disappeared but the best version available is the full two minute version on the 'Themology' compilation cd. (Ken Thorne's incidental music is excellent in places too, as is the stuff he did for 'The Protectors').
Aside from the obvious / more well known stuff we shouldn't dismiss the generic 'library' music which the best session men in the country used to churn out between fag breaks in Wardour Street, De Lane Lee or Olympic Studios in the '60s and '70s for EMI and the KPM labels, some of it is surprisingly meaty in content, often beautifully arranged and recorded - John Cameron's 'Jaguar' from 1974 is a good example, it and many others are on youtube.
Which brings me to Ennio Morricone - there's so much more to his back catalogue than the spaghetti western stuff, his work with Bruno Nicolai on hundreds of Italian Giallo and Pilitzia thrillers is superbly atmospheric and inventive - there are so many of them but I can't remember all of their titles!
Lalo Schifrin's score for 'Dirty Harry' - another one I can listen to I the car over and over, it fits the film perfectly.
Another favourite is Peter Cook's psychedelic piss take pop star track in the original 'Bedazzled' film from '67, all phased drums and monosyllabic vocals... ''you fill me with inertia''.
