Not heard of him either, but a YT search revealed a tune called "Someone You Loved".
A squeaky voice, and a chord progression that is everywhere these days : a I / IV / vi / V, so in this case a C# / G# / Bm / F#

I suppose what I was trying to say is that any combination of a root / fourth / fifth / minor 6th chord progression - these days - has been done to death. Something different, for example, would be to devise a tune in the key of G major where the verse uses the minor 2nd / major 4th / perfect 5th and only resolves to G in the chorus.
