Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra Nottingham
Discussion
Saw this last night and it absolutely blew me away. Absolutely fantastic. They had Beverly Knight and Becky Hill among others providing vocals.
Really really good. Very high energy. Incredible sound and it was so good to see the whole stadium on their feet dancing including quite a few who must have been in their late 50s and early 60s giving it large with the wavy arms. Those guys were probably grinding their teeth to the same tunes 30 years ago! So nice to see so many, young and old having a good time!
If you like this kind of music. This is a must.

I'm going to see this at Leeds Arena tonight - can't wait, it sounds fantastic
Just a heads up, here the doors opened at 18:30 but they don’t do the main event until about 9pm. At 19:30 they had some other DJ playing warm up, but we weren’t too interested in that so went back out into town for some grub!I was a little worried as well because from where we were sat, it didn’t seem all that loud (the warm up DJ). But they can’t have been using the full set up, because when that started it felt like they’d turned it up to 11 and added an extra wall of speakers! The bass literally made the building shake! It was epic.

We had a box at the Leeds concert, thought it was an amazing event and it was great to see everyone go crazy to the Keith Flint tribute at the end. Would have loved it to have been half an hour longer mind.Otispunkmeyer said:

I actually enjoyed the warm up DJ (Andy Butler, I think). He started off slow with an almost chillout vibe and then got going with some great house tunes before the main event.I was a little worried as well because from where we were sat, it didn’t seem all that loud (the warm up DJ). I agree with the sound - it was epic once it properly kicked off. You can't beat the bass at a live music event!
Have just seen that Pete Tong's Ibiza Classics will be going ahead this year... first tickets on sale on Friday for the live streamed event on 19th Dec at 2100.
Looks like they will be streaming the show from the O2 itself, I suppose using all the available space to adhere to social distancing.
Enjoy!
