The Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced that Josh Klinghoffer is leaving the band and that John is going to rejoin.

As a big fan this is great news.

Last time he rejoined after a break we got Californication. Here's hoping a similar quality album comes in the next year or so.

Luckily I worked on the Stadium Arcadium tour and watching him and Flea jam every night during the encore, was always a joy.

I went to a drum clinic at Reading with Chad and Steve White, it was amazing.....

Top audience member ? Oh, only Ian Paice ffs,,,,,,

Memorable eveing wtaching those two jam together, including mid pulse 12 feet apart stick swaps.....

Small world. I treated my brother in law and took him to the same clinic tour I believe, but down in Poole and as you said it was bloody amazing.

Managed to acquire some decent memorabilia from working on the tours, sadly had to sell nearly all of it when things got hard with my DVLA battle.

The one thing I just couldn't sell were the sticks that Chad signed for me on the first tour I did with them, still got them. He really is a very genuine top bloke.

I remember Guitarist magazine calling Chad the Labrador of the Drumming world - a bit harsh but quite fitting !
