Basic question, I was "taught" to use the pick except when using a fingerpicking method.
Moving on a couple of years of self flagilation and I'm doing a mix of strumming and tune picking (currently a bit od blues and the Shadows!).
I'm finding, particularly the strumming is easier using the fore finger but assume that's not "correct".
The skin on my finger and thumb is so hard, the pick keeps turning around and about. Even drilled holes in a pick to get a better grip.
