Lockdown Guitar needed....

As its now likely we will see at least another 3 weeks maybe four of LD, I need something else to do.
I only have my acoustic left but want to play electric......Sold my last setup as wanted a new Lens...
Had a Gibson LPJ that I really liked, and ran it through a THR10....
Looking for something similar, but not quite as dear ideally.....
Needs to be delivered for obvs reasons, but unless someone can point a better alternative, I do fancy another THR....
Guitar wise, needs to be HH, single cut, same scale length as an LP .... Brand not important, and shall we say £450 ish as budget for both.....
UNLESS theres a decent "app" type amp so I dont need the THR - Play with headphones all the time.

As said above, obvious answer is an Epiphone. I've had a few (finding the specs I like) and Epi really do make some nice guitars nowadays. My recommendation would be to get a good condition 2nd hand one from eBay/Reverb; many people buy lovely guitars and then give up learning so you can regularly find some proper mint condition bargains.
I find the Alnico Classics a little sterile and think Epiphone's Probuckers (closely modelled on Gibson Burstbuckers) are a big step up if you're after those classic Les Paul tones.
A number of the top Epi models feature actual Gibson pickups and Gibson-standard wiring (pots and caps), and some of the artist signature editions have Dimarzio or Seymour Duncan pickups.
Epi also use a number of different neck profiles; most commonly the "60s slim taper - a D shape profile", but also "50s C shape profiles". I started off preferring the former but now have a preference for the latter...
A deep set / long tenon neck makes a difference for a lot of people and you only get those on the upper range Epis.
If you'd consider 2nd hand, I'd look out for (in descending order of likely price!) :-
- Slash signatures - Rosso Corsa and Standard AFD (not to be confused with the cheaper model!) - deep-set necks, SD Slash pickups, "Slash" profile neck (seems to be mid-way between the 50s and 60s shapes).
- 1959 50th anniversary - deep-set neck, Gibson Burstbuckers, lovely finishes.
- The 60s Tribute Plus - deep-set neck, Gibson Classic 57 pickups, high spec wiring.
- Joe Bonamassa Gold Top and Pelham Blue signatures - deep-set neck, Gibson Burstbuckers.
- Custom Pro - classic Black or White looks, Epi Probuckers.
- Epiphone Plus Top Pro - Epiphone Probuckers, great looking flame tops.
Look out for auctions ending mid-week (even though everyone's at home now!) and make sure any that need posting have a hard case with them, and most of the above can be had well within your budget (some can be "ambitiously" priced, but just wait for another...).
2nd hand will usually get you a Rosewood (sometimes Ebony) fretboard too; which some people prefer to the current Pau Ferro.

Not sure id have picked up on the different pups on these, so thanks to PH as ever....
Im sure the brands deliberately switch things up all the time jusr to create a cinfused market and make people think newest must be best.
