Ian Curtis from Joy Division took his own life.

Must have been the next day and we were in Small Wonder Records in Walthamstow flicking through the vinyl and heard about it from Pete Stennett as we were well aware of Joy Division as kids, having Transmission & Unknown Pleasures and hearing them often on John Peel.

Forty years! Wow!

Where did the time go? I seem to recall small wonder records, whereabouts in Walthamstow was it?

It was in Hoe Street, just past the big Granada cinema/bingo hall.
