The edit is a bit hit and miss with this but I can assure you', being there live for this it was awesome.

I've seen him more than any other artist and looping is his 'thing', he plays more alone than with a band, performing originals and covers both using the a loop machine he's built himself...

Thanks, really enjoyed that, she's got a great voice.

I saw a guy called Final Fantasy supporting Arcade Fire, he did live looping with a violin, he was awesome.

I think Tom Thum blows them all out the water.

A mix of bb and live-loop.

Thanks for posting that - I’d remembered seeing that but had forgotten who it was

I am not sure by whom from the ZTT stable, either Propaganda or Art of Noise,

but one of these had an amazing live performance where singers started the track with seemingly random sensless short bursts of voices,

these were live sampled and programmed into electric drum machines, the track featured these voice fragments as drum sounds,

was quite impressive ( to me ) in the mid-80s.

Wouldn't say I was a fan of his, but Ed Sheeran was very impressive when he did the Sunday night at Glasto with all the loops he had going on.
Great way to end the week!

If you’re on Facebook, there’s a fellow who goes by the stage name of Helm DeVegas, he’s a very nice man from Cornwall and he streams three live sets per week of him and his piano. His one-man set makes quite a lot of effective use of live looping in order to perform more complex songs. I’d highly advise you have a listen as they’re very enjoyable.

Video clip from a TV series with KT and her loop pedal, starting out busking and getting on Later.

The first time I came across this technique was when I saw this quirky guy called Son of Dave on Later

Not wishing to do the unmentionable on anyone's personal sources of warmth - but when I saw it I thought that it didn't look real.

Then I read the text that the live loop was triggered through midi, so all she is actually doing is playing in time with the click track. In this case it looks like there is a cable at her waist for in ear monitors and on other videos the belt pack is clearly visible.

I don't decry the musical skill but this is not the same as, for example, the KT Tunstall video from Later... where she builds the layers up herself so I would not call this live looping. Is a live performance to a click with the software doing the looping so all she has to do is stay in time.
