When you bought a second hand car......
Discussion
Did anyone leave you their music in there and was it any good?
I've noticed that Mazda owners tend to like Bruce Springsteen, so now have a couple of his CDs, not too bad really.
I also have a 'Free with the Daily Mail' copy of the best of Bryan Ferry and Roxy music which is ok. I've always thought he was ok, but never bought any.

When I picked up the Z4 in 2015, the iDrive seemed like a flight deck from an Airbus a380 after letting go of the Mercedes I'd owned for ten years. Anyhow, once home you try to master all the functions within half an hour (without consulting the manual - #causeblokeinnit) and the previous owner had somewhat of an eclectic taste in music. There was Bowie, Dylan, The Police (the good stuff), and on the flip side dance mixes, rap etc (very bad stuff). So, I applied my (never let me down yet) logic and common sense and ended up clearing the whole drive instead of the albums I didn't want. Suffice to say, the instruction manual was dug out and duly read from cover to cover. Never done that again.
Found a random 90s rave mix CD in a Ford Focus mk1 about 8 years ago. On the flip side, I think I lost cd1 of a LCD Soundsystem album when my car was scrapped and towed away.
I'm guessing people who work looking after, dropping off & collecting hire cars might have some interesting contributions to make here.

One of my cars came with CD1 of the Top Gear Driving Music CD in its changer.
I was quite happy about this, even though the car in question was a Ford Scorpio 2.3 Ghia X and so not really a car built for chucking down a twisty B-road to the accompaniment of Sniff 'n' the Tears' "Driver's Seat".

I used to buy and sell quite a few cars and always had a rule that any CD’s/Tapes would be the only thing I’d listen to in that car between buying and selling. They’d then be passed on to the new owner as part of the cars history.
The highlight was probably a Sony head unit with hard drive containing every Queen album. Low points include a Beetle with a Robbie Williams CD and a golf with some sort of thrash metal/rave combo that was very difficult to listen to.

There was a Jam CD down the side of the seat in my Celica. Shame it was scratched right through and unlistenable.
Did you find it down in the seat rails at midnight?I'm sorry, I've let the forum down, but most of all I've let myself down.
