Help identifying a song
Discussion
Morning all,
I'm trying to trace a song I heard and really liked yesterday but so far my usual trick of googling lyrics isn't helping.
I was listening to Dee106.3 yesterday early afternoon, it was some sort of memorial show for a presenter who recently died, and it featured a lot of country/southern rock type songs that he had liked.
They mentioned this song was by a band not well known over here, I think it started with an O, and the chorus of the song was "rose of summer gone" or something very similar. It was a gentle soft rock song that sounded very similar to the sort of stuff you'd hear from Marshall Tucker band.
Anyway, googling the supposed chorus only brings up some Irish folk poem with a simialr name, so can anyone on here help track it down please?
