Agreed. I've been a fan for some time and have the first two albums. I bought Anthem of the Peaceful Army first, which was great, and followed up with their earlier album, From the Fires, which is a bit less reliable. Haven't heard the new one yet.

They’re fantastic so good in fact that I’ve just bought tickets for the Foos Gig in Berlin next June because GVF are one of the support acts.

Went along to a live gig as my daughter is really into them. They were excellent live - I can't stand the singer's voice on their Peaceful Army album, but live they were very very good.

They're a bit too Led Zep soundalike to be taken seriously. Some of their stuff is quite good/competent - but very pastiche, and so I can see the point that some have made that they are part of a cynical streaming era phenomenon of being effectively designed to appear on Spotify playlists etc of classic rock fans through algorithms suggesting you may like them because they are so similar to other stuff you listen to.

Can hear what you mean having just listened to a few tracks. Led Zep lite I would say. Lead singer trying a bit too hard to replicate Robert Plant.

First two albums are great , obviously “building” on LZ style ! Third album is totally meh imo , listened to it once in the car and not feeling the need to try again.

Was unimpressed with their last album. Good musicians without a doubt, but not much originality and way too much hype.

Have heard one or two songs from the new album and it does sound better.
