David Longdon RIP

Listening to a song from Big Big Train on Prog radio last night and wanted to hear it again so I searched YouTube.
I was confused by then suggestions that included a tribute to David. Why was that? A bad joke? Google showed that he had indeed passed on the 20th of November. It was a huge shock to me as I’m reading musical things everyday and that was the first I’d heard of it.
There was an accident at his home that took him. Far too young at age 56 and his outstanding voice will be hugely missed. I was planning on seeing BBT in concert again next year. I suggest he is impossible to replace, such was his talent. RIP.

Hadn't heard but there again how many mainstream programmes have even heard of BBT

Yeah, I mentioned this in the Now Playing thread a few days ago. Hadn't heard anything about it until I got an email from Burning Shed. A sad loss and will make listening to Merry Christmas by BBT quite bittersweet this year.
