Best & Worst Xmas Tunes
Discussion
'Tis the season of Noddy Holder's pension contributions so we're inundated with tunes on the radio some of which I quite like, and other which immediately have to be switched off.
Each to their own but I quite like Wizard, Greg Lake, John Lennon, Pogues/Kirsty and a few others. On the No list are Band Aid, George Michael, McCartney, Crosby/Bowie and some others.
How about you?

This is my favourite Christmas tune:

Thomas Benjamin Wild Esq.
Smile And Nod (A Christmas Song)
His other stuff is worth checking out too!

I got a bit Xmassy this morning and found this version of his Xmas hit.
Greg Lake,

I gave him a bonus point for doing it in a church.

Perhaps tied with Kate Bush:

Avoid: all the mainstream ones that are rolled out every year, though some are more tolerable than others.
Favourite: Christmas Everyday by Smokey Robinson
In fact if like that, you should track down the compilation album Santa Done Got Hip. There are loads of decent old songs on there that avoid the usual tripe. Really nice on Christmas morning.
(Special mention also to Yellowman for the classic Santa Claus Never Comes to the Ghetto - who doesn’t love a bit of dancehall synthesiser at Christmas?!)

This is worth a listen. Marillion giving rock vibes to a hymn.
