When I was in a band (40+) years ago we did a few Beatles covers but tried to do the less well known ones. We had there we liked; Eight Days a Week, One After 909 and She Came in Through the Bathroom Window.

I agree about Revolver but I also like Rubber Soul, I tend to think of them almost like a double album. If I needed Someone from Rubber Soul is a great song but then I could name so many lesser known numbers by them.

And I like Flying from Magical Mystery Tour. To be pedantic, I like the first two minutes sixteen seconds of it. It goes a bit haywire after that.

Love You Too - George's Sitar-fest on Revolver

All Too Much - full on psychedelic piece from the 'Yellow Submarine' soundtrack

Three more from Revolver - I'm Only Sleeping, And Your Bird Can Sing and She Said She Said, written by John pretty much as throw away songs (his words not mine) but all brilliant recordings.

Have to add Tomorrow Never Knows as well, not perhaps less well known but hardly ever heard on the radio, it still sounds extraordinary when you consider it was recorded just three and half years after Love me Do.

Its All Too Much by George, yes.. Usually on absolute full tilt before asking friends "Guess what this is?"
No-one ever answered Beatles biggrin

The insane feedback at the start, the "whipping" drums, Paul's deep heavy single-note bass... And the whole song is in one (1) chord, somehow still very melodic. So George!

I still can't make out what Lennon's backward vocal is at the start!

"I'm Looking Through You".

Is it obscure? Maybe - not sure. Good track.

Some early stuff for me.

Kansas City and Matchbox.

I don't think either are original Beatles' songs, but they're both great performances by them, I think.
