Sad news - a fantastic talent and a great loss. I first heard the Screaming Trees on the Singles OST and immediately became a fan

Yet another grunge icon gone .

I saw him with QOTSA.

R.I.P.

RIP, shocked when I saw that news earlier, very sad.

Just been reading a relatively recent interview that Rolling Stone re-Tweeted:

Edited to add link to the Trees playing Dollar Bill on the BBC in the early '90's: https://youtu.be/9z6_zqk7V10

Very sad. I was a big fan.

If you haven’t, you should read his book ; sing backwards and weep.

Horrible, just like to shoot myself. Thanx for the reading tip..
Only met him once, a very reluctant autograph on his album Gargoyle. Legend.

Sad news. Loved the Mad Season collaboration with Staley/McCredy etc, and the QOTSA stuff.

Surprised he made it this far to be honest, left some cracking tunes behind though.

I saw him first when he was one of the support acts for Guns N Roses in Slane about 5 or 6 years back. I was just blown away by that voice.

I then saw him in Manchester later that year. This 4OD clip reminds me most of that concert.

The final time i saw him was with Duke Garwood, again in Manchester, in 2018.

Would love to have seen him with QOTSA. What a line up this was, with Dave Grohl on drums.
