Simple format.

1) 8 albums
2) 1 luxury item (cars included!) Burt remember you'll be in the desert..!
3) If you could save one album being washed away to sea - Which would it be?
4) I'll offer you The Bible & The Complete Works of Shakespeare, or a book of your choice.

(I will have to give this some thought before adding mine...!

Although this topic ‘puts a date’ on every respondent, and mine will be obvious, I ready to have a go.

Songs For A Tailor - Jack Bruce
St Matthew Passion - J S Bach (Klemperer)
Revolver - The Beatles
Pet Sounds - The Beach Boys
A Love Supreme - John Coltrane
Kind Of Blue - Miles Davis
Four Last Songs - Richard Strauss (Schwarzkopf)
The Best Of Little Walter - Little Walter Jacobs (1958)

I would have to save the Bach, but mainly because it is about three hours long!

Luxury item - a Swiss Army Knife

And although the OP left this out, my book (apart from the Bible and Shakespeare) would be Dickens’ Pickwick Papers.

This is something I often think about whilst lying in the sun and it is rather difficult as the list can change from day to day!

There is one album that always features so that is number 1 - Wish you were Here - Pink Floyd

The next 7 May take me a while

Four Last Songs - Richard Strauss (Schwarzkopf)
So much yes! But for me Kirsten Flagstad in original 1950 recording. Hard to keep a dry eye to be honest.

But of course Schwarzkopf famously came on the real Desert Island Discs and chose eight of her own records!
