Just watched 96, 97, & 98. Some good memories as that's my age plus some interesting interviews. It's possible to forget the importance of that show for many. Glad to see them doing more modern stuff now, sat through many a similar history show with my parents for the 60,70,80s

One takeaway is how the acts don't look much older than me now, 5-10 years difference back then was massive! Now I'm about the same age!

A mate of mine had the unfortunate experience of miming along with his song, only while the song was being broadcast, it wasn't heard live in the studio, so he and the singer just sat there, waiting...

I was on top of the pops in 1970, just in the crowd though. No 1 was "Spirit in the sky" and Lulu was also on the programme. My claim to fame.

I remember seeing them live in Newcastle in 1988. music
