Interested in buying a bass on eBay, but would need to be couriered at my expense and risk.

Haven’t done this for years, any one got any good recent experience of this and who is best to use?

What kind of price we looking at these days?

Parcel force are AFAIK the only people who will allow you to buy decent level insurance. But any of the courier firms will give you a price if you feed in the parcel dimensions and weight. I find DHL very reliable but no extra insurance last time I looked.

We use fedex to send violins. Never had an issue.

Check the small print of any insurance- parcelforce do not insure violins. I would think it would be the same for guitars.

Parcelforce allowed for guitars to be insured last time I used them. Definitely worth checking.

It may be they are insured for loss but not damage
