We've volunteered to do the December quiz at our local, and I've decided for the picture round to do famous album covers but with the artist and album name airbrushed out. Then its name the album and artist.

I've got a few already lined up such as "Rumours" by Fleetwood Mac, "True Blue" by Madonna, "Nevermind" by Nirvana, and DSOM by Pink Floyd.

Any other suggestions?

Pet Sounds? Led Zep 1?

Off the top of my head

Nico/Velvet underground
AC/DC BiB or Metallica black album (or both) smile
Joy Division unknown pleasures
Thin Lizzy live & dangerous
Clash london calling (Elvis' version is too obvious)
Led Zep 2, 4, or HotH
Claptons slowhand or Springsteens BtR

I'd toyed with the idea of Unknown Pleasures, but maybe at bit niche for the quiz.

Metallica could be construed as AC/DC

London Calling is a good 'un.

Miles Davis - Sketches of Spain (Some clues with the colours - and the bull)
The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses (Pollock inspired and iconic)

Molly Hatchett's album covers were usually quite spectacular, Frank Frazetta's works were often used

The Death Dealer was the cover of their first album

The third one is 'Script for a Jester's Tear' by Marillion.

The last one is 'The Nightfly' by Donald Fagan.

Aside from the iconic covers, all of these are also brilliant albums.

The Stranglers - Black and White. You don't need to cover up the band name or album title because the cover's just a photograph with no text.
