I can think of 2 or 3.
The sound of silence as covered by Disturbed.Even Paul Simon said that their cover is so good that they now own the song.
Hurt as covered by Johnny Cash.Again i believe nine inch nails reckoned it was much better than their version.
The rose as covered by LeAnn Rimes and the gay mens chorus of Los Angeles 11 years ago.
