Best and Worst Tribute Bands You've Seen
Discussion
There's a band called (humorously) Nearly Dan who, obviously, do a Steely Dan show. They don't try to look or act like them and they are all session musicians in their own right. I've seen them many times and they really are superb, even have the horn section and lady backing singers.
There's also a band fronted by a chap called Martin Turner who do Wishbone Ash stuff, and they are even better that than the real thing!

I've seen some great ones and one or two appalling ones....
Great = Aussie Pink Floyd - just wonderful, a great show and note for note perfection
Poor = Kast Off Kinks - even though they had two ex-Kinks playing I thought they were dreadful, like a bad pub band playing Kinks songs.
Saw a couple of Blues Brothers ones years ago - were both okGreat = Aussie Pink Floyd - just wonderful, a great show and note for note perfection

Other than that just Aussie Pink Floyd, who as the OP says were brilliant and note perfect - totally recommended
I used to be very sniffy about tribute acts, but I went to see the Illegal Eagles and they were excellent. No pretending to be specific band members, just Eagles songs played brilliantly.
After that I went to see the Vox Beatles, obviously a Beatles tribute (one of many). They did pretend to be John or Paul, etc, which was mildly irritating at first, but they didn't take it too seriously and they played the songs pretty well, especially the guy being George.
Since then I've also seen London Calling, a Clash tribute. Not as good, but enjoyable enough for an evening out and how else will you hear a Clash set live?
Got tickets for Bootleg Blondie at the end of the month, as they're playing my local venue, so why not.
I still prefer going to see new acts or older acts with some of the original lineup, but a cheapish, local ticket for a tribute act is of interest now.

Appearing in Suffolk/Norfolk we have Steamy Dan. I think there are nine of them and quite stunning. There's also a band fronted by a chap called Martin Turner who do Wishbone Ash stuff, and they are even better that than the real thing!

Saw Aussie Floyd in 2005, before the big split that gave rise to the rival Brit Floyd- neither band has been as good since.
I saw them in 2013 in the O2 and they were very good. However half the seats were empty, they don't have the pull to fill a venue that size.Would like to see them again but the nearest venue this year is SOUTHEND CLIFFS PAVILION

I took my lad to see Elvana - a Nirvana tribute band but fronted by an Elvis tribute.
Sounds bizarre but it was a great night out.
Saw them last year at a festival. Very good. Again, not taking themselves at all seriously, but they performed the Nirvana stuff very well, along with some Elvis/Nirvana “mash-up” tracks. Would see them again at one of their own gigs. Sounds bizarre but it was a great night out.
Seen the Australian Pink Floyd five times in venues as diverse as Malta and Oswaltwistle
Also seen a few others, Darkside, The Floyd effect, all pretty good but TAPF are by far the best.
Also seen about Six Led Zeppelin tributes, couple of Deep Purple and Limehouse Lizzy.
Mr Jimmy is superb as Jimmy Page.
