On my Spotify playlist I have some Tottenham football songs recorded by Chas and Dave ~ early 90s. I don’t even follow football, let alone have any interest in Tottenham or like Chas & Dave. But still sometimes sing along and find them motivating in the car on way to meetings.

If anyone can top that level of sadness go for it smile

I once paid good money for the LP of this. I must have been drunk / stoned / both.

This is good - and moderately obscure...

'Feel The Same' is a great track.

Billy don’t be a hero... my favourite song as a kid.
( Shame I gave my Wombles album away... complete with the Inside sleeve that you coloured in).

Loved this in the 80's. Took me a long time to find it on CD. Still not available on (my) streaming sites

hehe

I actually watched him (for a few moments), not when he was on stage - we (me and pals) 'tip toed' away!
He was one of the 'artists' at the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival. I'd gone to see Free and the Moody Blues and the Doors and Hendrix etc.
We spotted Tiny Tim round the back of the main stage and he was with his then wife 'Miss Vicki' - he married her the year before, he was 37 if I recall correctly, she was just 17.

Different times, but the attendance that year (est. well over 700,000 people) makes so-called 'Glasto' pale into insignificance as it did the previous year's Woodstock in the good ol' U S of A.

Here's an old bit of film reel to show just how many attended by panning the absolutely huge crowd. The Government of the day quickly stuck its oar in and quickly passed the 'Isle of Wight Act' to prevent crowds of this magnitude ever amassing at a concert again.
And they succeeded. Never has a concert crowd been so huge in the UK.
