I just received an email from Ticketmaster saying I need to download another app from O2 to access my tickets for a gig on Sunday at Brixton.

WTF?

Leaving aside this utter bks requirement, I have done as asked and logged in with my Ticketmaster details, but keep getting this error message

I have signed into Ticketmaster via Safari with no issues, can see my tickets there with a bar code. I am not logged in to Ticketmaster on any other device

And just changed my TM password to be safe

And now it is working, maybe a temporary glitch or someone had hacked my account and was logged in? But if you’d done that surely you would have transferred the tickets out already.

Anyway having to download yet another app seems a piss take by O2 who just want to collect your details

That message caused me a great deal of hassle with the tickets for the Jerry Cantrell concert on Tuesday!

The whole thing is a complete and utter st show.

Not sure of the exact cause ... are you using an iphone? I suspect that their website is incompatible with Apple's private-relay and mac address cycling.

I quite like the O2 App, it's pretty slick and the ability to move tickets to friends works really well.

I see you are going to see LCD Soundsystem, my mates went last week and really enjoyed it.

Have you been to Brixton Academy since they got their licence back? Complaining about the O2 app suggests not. The biggest shocker you will find is the entry - you need to add on half an hour to what you would have previously done.

Because of all the problems they had with gangsta yoofs storming the doors and dodgy security letting in the ticketless, leading to two innocent people dying in a crush in the foyer (a significant reason behind you needing the O2 app) then you can no longer approach and just walk in.

These days you have to go up Stockwell Rd, hang a right, all the way along the back of the building, then turn right along Astoria Walk. This route below. It's a proper ball-ache, especially if you are tight for time. The O2 app is the least of your worries, frankly!

Thanks for the heads up, and wow

My objection to the app is why do i need you yet more apps, just buy on TM and save to my wallet like other venues.

I had this on my iPhone earlier in the week but managed to log in on my iPad.
Same WI-FI and location.
Sorry you had the issue but relieved it wasn’t only me

They are different companies.

I know

I bought tickets through TM but if it is at an O2 venue then tickets appear there.

My problem was with the O2 app though it seems to have sorted it itself out.

Bit unnerving though, would much rather have a ticket with barcode saved to my apple wallet
