First band I ever saw live which is probably a bit odd for someone born in 1980 and growing up with the Britpop era but Supertramp became one of my favourite bands and happy memories of that feeling when finding bands you hadn't heard before.

RIP Rick, I will be watching the live in Paris gig on youtube later.

One of my all time favourite songs is Just Another Nervous Wreck from Breakfast In America.
It’s probably because of my age, being 16 when Breakfast In America was released in 1979 but I think Breakfast In America is a more classic album than Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon. It’s packed with hits and fantastic non hits.

I drove for 3 hours today and listened to Supertramp for the whole time...

My girlfriend at the time bought me Crime of the Century when I was in the 5th form knocking on 50 years ago, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Very sad news, Supertramp were part of my youth.

In 1975 I had a girlfriend who had a Saturday job in a music shop so I got a discount when I bought the single Dreamer!
