Thinking of trying the newer modellers and these two seem a cheap of doing that .

Can’t really decide , but I think the Spark app
Looks a step ahead of the Boss based on YT.

I've no experience of either, but would throw into the mix the Valeton GP5 if you want an introduction to modelling.

Very cheap (about £65) but does a heck of a lot for the money. Can be used as an amp modeller, a headphone amp or computer interface. Has plenty of built in amps, cabs (IRs) and effects, plus a tuner, drum machine, etc. and can also download (modified) NAM profiles. The accompanying app is pretty user friendly too.

I got the Spark GO for my birthday in November and am just getting to grips with it. Fantastic bit of kit. The sound quality for something the size of a Sony RX100 camera is astonishing.

Great range of Amps and pedals and a huge number of presets available on line. Also a brilliant range of backing tracks for all abilities.

I've combined it with a wireless connection system because one of the few drawbacks is that it is so small that the guitar lead easily pulls it over.

I have and rate the spark. I tried the Yamaha briefly in store and at the time preferred the look of it - but the spark app won it for me.
