Best Singles Band With Worst Albums

Who are the best singles band with the worst albums?

In my opinion it’s The Police. Great singles, fantastic live, but albums full of filler.

It’s almost like they wanted to be out of the studio asap…

Limp Bizkit - if you throw all their best songs together into one album that would be great, but their albums as a whole piece suck ass.

Kind of agree for most of their albums, but definitely not ‘Arrival’, every song is good.

Muse IMO

Love them, but I’ve never heard a great consistent album from them, whereas individual tracks are sublime

Probably New Order.

Every track on the Substance singles compilation greate. Lps can be very varied, although Technique is more consistent than most.

Nah love New Order, just don't play their lps all the way through compared to the amazing singles. After reading Peter Hooks biography I understand why. I saw them play live in the 80s and they were not consistent at gigs either!
But hey what a bunch of brilliant electronic punks they were and wrote the definitive 1980s dance floor tune in Blue Monday - not released on album!

Everything up to the game was great , after that not so good but innuendo is a cracking album and very moving .

Some of Madness' albums were tough work in comparison to what a lot of people thought they were going to get based on their singles output.

Ash were a bit like that. Their singles were bangers but the other tracks on their albums were disappointing.

I'd nominate the Shadows. Brilliant singles, but the albums were absolute bilge. Full of bloody awful song covers.
